Education Ministry at Grace Chapel

Bible Study
We teach the Scriptures as the living, fresh, and relevant word of God to the church.  We long for our congregation to become open-minded, open-hearted, curious, and hungry for the living words of God in order to be equipped for their daily walk with Christ.  There are three Bible studies every year.

Discipleship
Disciples are trained in the field of theology, Bible, and Christian accountability.  Disciples meet once a week as a group for lecture and sharing, and once a week with accountability partners, for a course of twelve weeks.  Discipleship groups are held three to four times a year.

Membership Class
Members learn about how GCC started, what it believes, and its vision for the future.  After a cycle of four classes, members have the option of covenanting to the church as an official member or a supporting friend.  There are two membership class cycles every year.

Baptism Class
Members are educated on principles of the Christian faith, in order to confirm their faith in Jesus Christ.  Upon completing the class, members will proclaim their faith in the testimony of the church.

Religion Class
Students learn the basic principles and practices of other religions, such as Islam, Judaism, and Buddhism, in order to better understand our neighbors of faith.
The Education Ministry's goal is to educate members of Grace Community Chapel in the areas of church membership, Bible, and discipleship.

In order to reach these goals, the ministry leads bi-annual membership classes, tri-annual Bible studies, and a few discipleship groups every year.

We educate our members so that, as Paul says in Romans 12:2, we would be transformed by the renewal of our minds, that we may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
